Bradford, PA

Settled in 1823, Bradford was chartered as a city in 1879 and emerged as a wild oil boomtown in the Pennsylvania oil rush in the late 19th century.

The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center season runs from September to March. The Bromeley Family Theater at The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford hosts many events in the University’s Spectrum Series that brings authors, artists, musicians, recitalists, and performance groups to campus with all events open to the public.

If you prefer the great outdoors, we are only a short drive from Holiday Valley ski resort and Alleghany State Park.

Direction to The Mountain Laurel Inn

From Buffalo Airport – Approximately 80 miles. Follow signs for I-90 West to Erie, PA. Take exit 55 to Route 219 South. Take 219 South all the way to Bradford (about 1 1/2 hours). Exit at Foreman Street. Make right off exit and take first right onto Davis Street. Go 0.4 miles. Inn is on the left corner of Davis and Jackson Avenue. Angle park in the driveway on Davis Street side.

From I-86 (formerly Route 17) – Take Rt. 219 South (exit 23). Travel 10 miles to the Forman Street Exit. Turn right. At the intersection turn right on to Davis Street. Go 2 blocks. The Mountain Laurel Inn is located on the corner of Davis Street and Jackson Avenue. Off-street parking is available on Davis Street.

From points East of I-80 (New York, Philadelphia) – Exit I-80 at Exit 111 (Penfield) onto Route 153 North to 219 North into Bradford (about 1 1/2 hours from exit). Exit at Elm Street. Turn left at the exit ramp and first, immediate, right onto Davis Street. Travel through traffic signal on Main Street and 2 stop signs, 0.7miles. Inn is on the left corner of Davis and Jackson Avenue. Angle park in the driveway on Davis Street side.

From Pittsburgh – 79N to 80E Exit 60 – Rt. 66N (Shippenville) to Kane – Rt. 6E to 219N – Exit Elm Street. Turn left at the exit ramp and first, immediate, right onto Davis Street. Travel through traffic signal on Main Street and 2 stop signs, 0.7miles. Inn is on the left corner of Davis and Jackson Avenue. Angle park in the driveway on Davis Street side.

From Bradford Airport – From the airport exit make a right turn onto Rt. 59 to Rt. 219 North. Exit at Elm Street. Turn left at the exit ramp and first, immediate, right onto Davis Street. Travel through traffic signal on Main Street and 2 stop signs, 0.7miles. Inn is on the left corner of Davis and Jackson Avenue. Angle park in the driveway on Davis Street side.
